We are excited to announce that we are bringing back the Cajun Blaze™ Seasoning, which was been a fan favorite for over three decades in the Acadiana and Capital City regions.
Burger Tyme™, home of the original Cajun Blaze™ & Bon Temps Poulet™, is known as an iconic restaurant that was established in the 1980’s. This iconic restaurant was deeply loved by many, while servicing the Lafayette, Breaux Bridge, New Iberia, and Baton Rouge areas. The delightful Cajun Blaze™ Seasoning was originally created in the kitchen of Mr. Braxton I. Moody, IV, while raising five children and deciding what to do with vacant real estate during one of Lafayette’s worst economic downturns (1980’s oil bust).
Out of necessity, the legend was born!
Through the years, fans have requested the return of Burger Tyme™ and have continued to keep the name alive through many stories and internet message boards, and until now, these famous recipes were not accessible to the public. However, back by popular demand, you can now experience this culinary delight in the comfort of your home, just as it was originally created.

Burger Tyme had the best menu by far. If I’m not mistaken Burger Tyme was also the first to bring rotisserie chicken to Lafayette. Working for Burger Tyme was also fun and exciting. I started in 1989 as an employee grilling burgers and ended as the GM on Johnston St in 1999. Many wonderful memories.
Can we start donating to get the actual restaurant again??

I moved to Baton Rouge in 1990 and didn’t get to experience the Burger Tyme experience until 1991 but that Cajun Blaze Burger has had a lifelong effect on me. I will gladly purchase some of the seasoning just to let my daughters see what a real burger taste like. Your burgers were the best in town and when your restaurant closed down it was like losing your favorite girlfriend ( which I did same month same year ). It would be awesome to see you open the doors again. Thanks for the trip down memory lane and thanks for being icons in the business.
